Mobility Integration Challenge - applications now open
The Mobility Integration Challenge is a competition designed to help Scottish technology and engineering companies (but not only) prove the value to prospective buyers of Smart Mobility products and services in Scotland, leading to accelerated success in international markets.

Scotland is challenged to create the most advanced, integrated mobility capability in the world and to show how this can be commercialised through demonstration projects that bring global competitive advantage to our company base and our cities and rural communities.

Companies are invited to respond to the above challenge by submitting demonstrator project ideas that aim to demonstrate value to prospective customers. Ideas with the greatest potential for commercial, economic, environmental and societal benefits will be selected and routed into Scottish Enterprise for full appraisal and support.

Companies interested in applying for this opportunity should do so by completing an online application form no later than Friday 31 January 2014.

You can access full details here.

Hudson - Salary & Employment Insights Survey 2014 is now open
Have your say...and help those in need by doing so

Hudson is conducting their annual survey into Salary and Employment trends - through this study they aim to provide clients with a true view of market sentiment to enable them to make the appropriate decisions for their business, and allow candidates to benchmark themselves against their peers in their chosen professions.

Are employees happy with the salary they receive, or are they motivated by other methods of recognition and benefit? Are employers feeling a shift in the market, will they be hiring or firing over the coming year? Survey results will be launched in early 2014.

For each survey completed, £1 will be donated to the DEC Philippines Typhoon Appeal. Complete the survey at this link:

Co-operative Group has chosen The Carers Trust as their charity of the year and as part of their fundraising exploits, have arranged to host a charity football match at Celtic Park. As Celtic have kindly agreed to provide the use of their changing room, pitch and strips, it has been agreed to split all monies raised between The Carers Trust and The Celtic Charity Fund.

The fund-raising target is £12,000, which is hoped to be raised through the following channels:

  • Company/individual sponsorship: Donations from Companies or individuals who may wish to sponsor either the overall event or a part of it
  • Company player sponsorship: Where a company would like to sponsor either one or multiple players who may be staff members / friends etc
  • Individual player: An individual who would like to pay for the experience of playing at Celtic Park
  • Sponsored Player: An individual who would like to raise funds through their own sponsorship efforts

The aim is to raise an average of £300 per player, and should this be achieved, Co-operative Group would like to be in a position to offer a few places to The Carers Trust for some Young Carers to have the opportunity to experience playing at Celtic Park.

It is hoped to attract 44 players, who will be offered a minimum of one half of the game, although we plan to use rolling substitutes as the fitness levels of certain players may not be quite the levels they used to be!

Should your Company be interested in sponsoring this event, or you or any of your colleagues be interested in participating, please contact Mike Grigor, Regional Manager, Charities & Social Enterprise, The Co-operative Bank, direct for further information on T: 0131 229 0151 or E:
