SCDI COMMENT ON NORTH OF SCOTLAND RAIL INVESTMENT

SCDI Highlands and Islands Manager, Fraser Grieve said:

“The improvements to the Inverness to Aberdeen and Highland Mainline announced today will be well received by businesses across the North. Improving journey times is a key priority and with the roll out of wifi announced by ScotRail last month will take a step closer to delivering the connectivity needed between our cities to reach our economic potential.

“SCDI’s rail survey of key business leaders showed the urgency and requirement of improvements to the Inverness-Aberdeen line, both in terms of quality of rolling stock and journey times. I hope that we will see improvements brought forward as a priority to the benefit of the passengers who rely on these services.”
